Well,

I'm retired. Never again will I pick up a bowling ball and never again do I hope to pick up a bowling ball.

I have bowled for 11 years. 11 years of pain, torture, sadness, etc. It has ruined my social life, my knee, my hand, my ability to just relax and have fun.

I just hope that I can become a better servant for the Lord since I will no longer be wasting my time with the stupid sport.

Riding the Waves of Life

This week has been really up and down. It had every extreme possible in life (well, most of them.)

Monday- The highest my life got in awhile with excitement- First, the day of celebration that the Bears are going to the Super Bowl!!!! That evening, I learned that TRUE miracles can happen.

Tuesday- Probably the lowest of lows. I read much of one of my sources on the Milgram experiment and I learned how even average Americans can turn so evil. Everyday, now, I will question what type of person I am because of it. Also, that above miracle, I learned how life can truly be EVIL!!! I bet I have the record for that type of miracles, but definitely in the wrong direction. Ah, someday, that miracle will last forever.

Wednesday- this day was not so bad besides feeling like my head was about to explode. I had so much sinus pressure that it was impossilbe to make what was happening around me. Luckily, though, I did have enough creative juices left to write my fairy tale for Spanish.

Thursday- beginning of the climbing back up the mountain. The practice we had gave us hope for a future match because we bowled the best baker games we have ever had. Also, Thursday night was nervous tension due to the studying for Anatomy, but still, in a positive light.

Friday- I learned I truly can wheel and deal in the oil market (thanks Bob). Also, I did pretty good on my Anatomy test, not perfect, but almost great. The bowling match was such a rush of emotions. My last match, a tough opponent, and a deterriogating body. We lost the match, but only 6-4. All I know is, it was a such a sweet feeling to know that the last ball I threw in a high school match was a strike.

Right now, I feel empty due to the amount of emotions spent during thsi week. Oh well, it will be perfect because I have tons of homework I need to finish- time to turn robot.

I figured I would clarify how life turned so sour. Thursday was our huge match against B.C. Basically, it would make or break our season. We had our best guys there and ready before the gmae and life was looking pretty good. Then I went to bowl my first ball, the end. I heard so many cracks and creaks that it was unbelievable. Bascially, my knees and back gave up on me. When it came to the match, I was done for. Ends up, our team exactly tied them. All the rest of our bowlers did their absolute best, but basically, because of my average dropping by 50 pins, we lost in the tie breaker.

Funny, I pray for the one time I could compete and of course, when the chance comes, my body gives up on me.

I cry out to You now. I need You so much in my life. Only I could turn life so sour. I just pray that You will give me grace and turn it around. I know I have been a complete traitor to You. I ignored You. I pretended You didn't exist. I pretended that the world was mine and nothing was Yours. Please Lord, just forgive me. I promise to become a better servant for You and Your Glory. I know I can never make it up for what I have done. I just pray that You give me another chance to spread Your Magnificence throughout the world you created.

As my body fails, as my mind fails me, as my soul fails, please Lord, give me a second strength so that I can double, triple, quadruple the talents You have blessed me with. I just pray that You will help me to become a worthy testimony for You and You alone.

Cause did Jesus need a manager, record label, ditributor, or even a boooking agency.

When troubles came, did he call upon the name, or turn to a lawyer to handle it.

Why do we ask God last, ignore the past, but be the first to ask our management.

Cause next to him, our glory's dim and truely pales in comparison.

Why does every move we choose seem to revolve around

We can get our groove on, but yet worry about comin on to strong.

Yet we water it down so much there aint even nothing left to chew on.

Souls become sales, and sales become a salary Give the crowd something to feel, whine about keepin it real,

But dont try to keep it to reality.

Yet when its all over and the mic is hung and its all said and done.

It wont matter how many battles I won, but only the souls that I have won.

On the other side, will my silly pride cause me to hold my head up proud .

To my few readers,

Sorry, I've been too busy to post anything.

Basically, there is two weeks till the start of Christmas break. The only thing is, I have to get through these two weeks. Examens are breathing down my neck right now and I'm going into robot mode to survive- Eat, sleep, devotions, and school work. So hopefully, I will survive this ride and somehow scrap through with straight A's.

We have a bowling match this Saturday. We are favored to win against Rossville (It helps that they only have one bowler). Hopefully, that will go well.

I am kinda nervous because I know something top secret about the Senior Girls. I just hope they will be easy on us senior guys. Also, I hope the senior guys won't hurt me when they find out I turned traitor to a few of them (ALEC).

I just want to point this out.

Lovie Smith keeps saying that he is sticking with Grossman. Which for the past three years, I have been saying, "Once he gets healthly, Superbowl."

Well, we are 10-2, but all thanks to our defense. Personally, I say Griese since Grossman has such a high QB rating of 1.4- YES, 1.4. A perfect score is 156.8, but Grossman has a 1.4.

Hopefully, Lovie will get wiser soon.

Ghost Rider

I haven't seen a movie in AGES!!! Partially because hardly any movies are tempting my curiousity, but I think this one is one of the few.

I'm looking forward to Ghost Rider since it another of the Marvel franchise movies and plus, I'm a huge fan of Nicholas Cage action movies (Face/Off, Con Air, the Rock, Gone in 60 seconds).
Hopefully, this one will be another of the greats.

Twin Lakes Match

Well, what a match.

We lost 9.5 to 10.5 to Twin Lakes which was amazing because Twin Lakes was #3 in our conference, and Faith was #8. If Jhurl had gotten one more pin on his second game, we would have one, but that doesn't matter because he still had to come back to tie his guy.

You know, maybe I can bowl without choking after all. My first game looked bad in the beginning. I missed 3 spares in the game, but I also had a 4 bagger (4 strikes in a row) and a Turkey in the tenth frame. That first game I came back and beat my guy which is impossible in the high school league.

The second game, I really screwed up the beginning, but I finished with another 4 bagger and a couple of strikes in the tenth. My guy though bowled a 236. So I didn't beat him.

Wrap it up- First game, 201, second game-199. That's an average of 200 which is is AMAZING.

With this, I just want to take everything a step farther.

I think it is great that all the Senior guys feel so convicted (except me, but that is a different story). Just, want exact steps are you taking to become better leaders. If you don't have a plan, then you will go nowhere. Honestly, we have to take small steps and precise steps. Pastor Woodall was there to guide me this summer in growing closer to God.

I challenge you all to create a plan. It is time to take this intense energy and feeling and put focus to it. Then will we all be able to accomplish something.

***The second story. I haven't been feeling bad because I haven't been hearing anything. Some would say that would be my fault, but honestly, is it really? Is it my fault that I feel like a ghost at school, church, and parties? I take time to listen to everyone problems, but does anybody even take time to say hi to me, not really. So hopefully, I'll be able to help everyone become better leaders because I've been down this path, but honestly, somebody needs to ask me first.

In less than two days, our bowling season will start and of course, one of our biggest games is right off the bat.

I've been bowling 11 years. I had many championships, high games, and great teammates. Well, ever since the beginning 11 years ago, I've had one rival, Mike Schaeffer. Several times we have faced it other, and everytime it has come down to the wire. In the past, in our league, my team always somehow beat him. Exactly like the Patriots vs. the Colts. The Colts have way more talent, but Tom Brady pulls out the win.

Well, this is how our match up will be. Mike is the better bowler plain and simple, but I'm telling you, it is time to overthrow the giant. Fortunately, my rosters should be slightly better than his. So this time Peyton is Peyton, but he has nobody to throw it to.

Plus, the last time i faced him, I beat him by getting a turkey in the 10th.

I think it is time to turn a page and start writing it.

You all noticed that my internet name is The Last Class Rep.
It was a great name especially since I was the former class rep and that I felt exactly like Tom Cruise when we changes for the better. It represented me well since in the 1st quarter, I served my fellow students as much as possible through "Serving Him through Others" and being soccer manager.

But it is time to move on to the second quarter. This quarter is all about bowling. This is my last year of high school bowling and it is time to pull out every last trick and ability I have. I'll never get this shot again and it is time to give all my focus to it (of course, God will come 1st though).

So, I'm no longer The Last Class Rep, but I am now Pinbuster.

Many of you probably think I'm making this way too dramatic. Yeah, I probably am, but every person must sometimes live in a dream.

This is a very important blog. If you have any trace of a comment, weigh in please.

The play auditions are next week and I wonder if I should try out. I've always wanted to have one of the major parts to see what it is like. I think this years story should be good because it is about some Holocaust experiences in Holland.

The problem. My best acting is playing any villain. I love playing the love because I've studied the insides and outs- keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. I especially know the villains because it is the nazis. Unfortunately, though, in the play, there are no nazis in it at all. So, if I went out for the play, I would have to play a good character.

The other part of it is we are trying out some new techiques with the lighting. If I left for the play, we would be sending a rookie to do it. It would be like sending in Matt Painter to play for Peyton. Yeah, not good.

So, here is my question, should I stay loyal and do tech crew or should I try out for the play and possibly fulfill my dream of acting?

Do you ever feel like this? It seems like these days it is a constant battle within myself. Everyday the dictator tries to tell me what to do, but I slowly but surely stay on the good side. I think the part of the problem is that my schedule is a pain. I know it isn't as hard as college, but it is just one long day. Plus, 4 projects doesn't help either.

The thing that helps me is 1 John 3:18 "Do not merely love your brother through words, but through deeds and truth." I quote it over and over again and that keeps me sane.

If you feel like helping me, just tell me 1 John 3:18 at school.

Ist Quarter

Well, the first quarter of my senior year has come and gone. I figure I should give a summury of what has gone on.

This senior year almost never happened do to some sins I made this summer, but by only God's grace, I was allowed to come back. Unfortunately, because of it, I've lost some close friends, but yet, I've also gain some friends due to it.

First, it has been amazing being the soccer manager. I love the away games because I get to talk to Mr. Johns the whole way. Plus, the guys have been great to watch. So many close games this year, but hopefully, we'll obliterate everybody during state.

Second, the friends thing. I was completely surprised, but Rachel is really cool friend. I never would have guessed that we would be friends, but thanks to Mr. Sagendorf's history class, we have. Also, it has been great growing close to my cousin. We grew apart because of the different schools, but united we are thanks to faith. I miss some of the past year's seniors like Tirzah and Jenni and a few others who left like Brandon, but the internet is a great invention.

Third, my schedule has been a royal pain, but somehow, I've got straight A's. I did have to walk the line a little with four A minuses, but I made it. Micro is the hardest yet second favorite class. It is sort a similar to my future job. (My favorite class will always be Chemistry).

Fourth, the Bears finally have a great team. They scared me to death against the Cardinals, but 6-0.

Fifth, our bowling team has been up and down. Everybody leaves, no new recruits, maybe time to move on, but somehow, God saved the best recruits for last. Our team isn't as good, but they bring back the fun in the game. It will be a fun year being Captain.

Sixth, I've seen relationships popping up. Then as soon as they appear they disappear. The only thing that will stand true at Faith is the fact that I'm single, but trust me, I'm not complaining. Way too many emotions and complexities tied within a relationship.

Seventh, My volunteer job. I love it. It is really fun working in a pharmacy, but mainly, I like most of my co-workers. I guess I fit in more with smart college students than my fellow high schoolers, but that is only because I'm so unique. Too bad some of them are leaving though.

I think I'll end it here. It is amazing what God can fit into life between 9 weeks. Hopefully, the next quarter will be as great as the first or really, as spiritually tough as the first one.

I think it is funny, ironic, interesting that some of the girls at Faith who I would love to be friends with in a heartbeat believe they are never going to get married. These great girls are the diamonds in the middle of a coal mine. Truly amazing to talk to.

I just wanted to make this bet. I bet 50 million trillion billion dollars that these girls are the first to get married. You don't believe me ay. Well, we'll see.

Well, Rachel, I'm write something especially for you.

Life, my definition right now- reality being stretched to the breaking point by its complexity and by the trials that God has created for us to become the best possible being we can be.

Man, life keeps getting harder and harder with each day. I just pray my relationship with God gets stronger and stronger, but knowing that I'm a sinner, probably not.

I guess I feel more tired after Fall Break instead of before it. Part of the problem is that I'm not in my normal bed. The bed is great to sleep in, but I just don't sleep as well. Plus, whenever a break does come along, I can never fall asleep until really late at night even when I still get up around 7.

Back to the school thing though. I get my report card on wednesday and that is never good news. Yes, most people would say they would love to have it, but I always feel guilty because I probably could do better.

The good thing is I get to see real people again. I wish I could be able to talk to everybody more, but that would be like changing an orange into an apple.

Really, I have nothing to say. I'm a robot. I do homework, sleep, eat, and devotions. Basically it.

Ok, One of my dreams is finally accomplished. Maybe not exactly how I pictured it, but oh well.

Tonight was Senior night at Faith. I got to be introduced in front of everyone for being the soccer manager. In my mind, the bleachers would be overcrowding with cheering fans. Well, it was overflowing, but Jhurl and Alec were cheering for me.

Man, 1/4 of my senior is over. Hmm, it has been insane with homework since I'm taking Calculus, Micro, y Spanish 4, but the treats are worth it since I'm manager.

I just want to point this out since Mr. Grass made the mistake. I want to study pharmacy, but also get my PHD. Very important difference. Probably won't make sense to most, but it is.

I get shocked with each passing day. Since Jr/Sr, there has been so many relationships popping up. Of course, I'm kinda glad to have Jhurl, but Jenni, I'm still sorry. Back to my point though, my jaws keeps dropping. Of course, I feel really really single, but I'm not losing any money these days.

Life is just too exciting at times. This evening has been a shock to me, but at least God knows best through all of this.

Soccer team lost 1-0 when we shouldn't have. I don't know what to say. We have lost 3 straight for some reason and just not performing.

I love how the work of the lazy get the hard workers in trouble for taking a 5 seond break. Oh well.

Hmm, it always seems like the tightest relationship seems to break lately. I was astounded by his move. I wouldn't have done it in any case, but it was his choice and his choice alone.

It seems like I would do things so differently if I was in several situations, but guess what, I'm not. There is a reason I am playing the role I am and only God knows that. I just have to my best to play this role.

It seems like this evening has been alittle down. Hopefully, with writing this, our luck will change.

Senior Night

I'm glad that I was the soccer manager this year. Finally, one of my all time dreams have been completed. Probably not exactly how I dreamed it would be, but oh well.

This upcoming Tuesday is the Fall sports Senior Night in which the Seniors get introduced during the games. Finally, I will be recognized on the floor. Ever since my first pep rally at Tecumseh in 6th grade, I have dreamed of just one day have myself introduced in front of sports fans cheering for their team. I am highly surprised that it will be for soccer, but I can't complain. That means every one of you need to come. This is your once in a lifetime chance to see me out on the court. Probably the only time ever.

Bowling, well, maybe there is a little life left in it, but I don't want to jinx it.

Well, I really don't have much to write a whole individual blog. So I'm through in a little of this and that and hopefully the soup will taste great.

Soccer team lost on Friday. Just an unfortunately break. The Team we face was like looking into a mirror. Exact same style, but their forwards had a little bit more speed. Mike Semmel showed his world class stuff on Friday though. He made 14 saves when a goalie should have to make about 4 or 5 a game.

I have a micro paper due on Monday. Luckily, the paper is done. I just have to make my poster for it.

I think I'm going to retire from bowling. Our rookies are really, hmm, well, let's just say I have short hair because I've been pulling it out lately.

I want to solute Miss Rachel Hodges. I never would have expected such a great friend, but life is always too complex to predict.

I did great on the first half of my calculus test with a 37 out of 37. I just hope I did as well on my spanish test.

The Bears play the Seahawks tomorrow. I swear if Fox doesn't show the game, I'm going to drive to their corporate headquarters and have a nice little chat.

Oh, always be careful with Mr. Johns. I learn that the hard way when my neck became black Friday night. Long story, but luckily I was able to wash it off.

I brought this one up earlier, but my friend discussed it again and another person agreed with her. Again, she said that no guy will truly want a girl for her true self instead of just the idea of having a girlfriend. She said that no high school guy was mature enough to realize the true meaning of a girl.

Man, I agree with her, but only 99%. I think there is always the 1% of guys that are unique. Why am I standing tall for that 1%. Because I am that 1%. Man, I feel so unique within this world. I feel like a different breed entirely at certain moments. Sometimes, I just have to be alone because I'm scared to death of girls and I get really annoyed with guys because of certain shallowness. Honestly, I've always taken a slightly different path.

The Dark Tower Saga

The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King is one of the best series and possibly the best book except for the Bible of course. Truly, I constantly think of what a gunslinger would do as long as it is not a sin. This movie shows pictures of the series. You probably won't understand, but it represents the series in an accurate fashion- most of it.

A Week Goes By

Well, another week is coming to an end. Personally, ISTEPS are the greatest thing in the world. One, I got to sleep in for an extra hour, and two, I got time to work on several reports I have due within the next couple of weeks.

Really, nothing interesting has been happening due to the fact that I feel so alone. Well, not alone, but I've been doing alot of single things. By the way, I give my regards and a solute to the new couple I found out about yesterday. I'm glad because I hoped the two would hook up together.

Truly, it seems like I am Roland heading to the Dark Tower. I can't see anything ahead of me, but I know I'm on the right path thanks to God. Of course, I hope I'm doing God's Will instead of my own.

I wish I could write a devotional, but I'm running on a little empty. If you have any topics, I'll consider writing something. By the way, I have to mention this because of my current research project - Why would anyone have sex outside of marriage with GENITAL WARTS around. I found out that 20 million people in the U.S. have genital warts -EWWW!!!!!!

You know, I always slowly realize it is great being single.

Every once in a blue moon, I'll have a sensitive moment.

I had to work last night and it wasn't busy at all. I just had one tpo run (Medicine Delivery Run), but it was all over the hospital. It was the first time I ever went to psych. It is interesting because you have to make a page to be allowed through the locked doors.

Also, I got to go to NS floor aka Nursery. I've never had a deliver to that area before and I bet several girls would have liked it. I don't know why, but they were taking 5 babies from their rooms to the nursery. So as I was walking down the floor, there were babies on both sides of me. At first, I was intimidated, but being so cute, how could I stay intimidated. I know my delivery lasted only a minute, but I'll remember it.

It has been quite an interesting day. Well, sort of.

Church was great. My sunday school class is starting a series on James which is an incredible book. I'm glad we are covering it. Afterwards, I was briefly able to talk to Tirzah and Jenni. I really wish I talked to them alot more when they were seniors, but at least I'm trying not to make that same mistake right now.

Now, this is where I got really frustrated. Today was a divison game against the Lions. Fox is the only network that will show the Bears games, but no, they decide to run a marathon of Cops. IDIOTS, IDIOTS, IDIOTS. Luckily, the Bears won 34 to 7, but it would have been nice to see Grossman pass for 4 touchdowns.

Otherwise, I have been doing micro work. I have been going through this past week's papers looking for articles. Fortunately, I found some, but I see hate trying to open the paper. Also, I've been writing my micro report which has been annoying. I just hate it because my topic is warts and everytime I try to do research, genital warts pops up. Well, at least, the websites just had info and not pics.

Also, I wrote a legend for spanish 4. I haven't translated it yet, but I like it because it is about the Cossacks. SWEET!!!!

So, this day has been kinda boring, but work just needs to be done at times.

Clarify

The human variable is one of the most complex things in the world. It gets even more complicated when girls and guys mix.

When I say "do we really need another girl?", I'm just saying I'd rather just stay away from a relationship right now. Just want to make that clear because I still like hanging out with Jenni, KK, talking to Rachel in History class, reading Tirzah's blog, etc, etc.

Sides, with a calculus and micro test today, my mind is on other things.

Guys and Girls

Probably one of the biggest issues we teens go through is this whole thing about Guys and Girls. Honestly, I know I have been burned in the past and that is why I just STAY AWAY from girls, but I still think an outside perspective can those of you who are in the ring.

I guess the real reason I'm writing this article is because a person whose viewpoint I majorly respect told me that all guys are looking for in a girl is like an ice cream cone- sweet and melts in seconds. She was so adament about it that I had to take a strong hard look at everything. Looking back, I would believe most guys currently have those viewpoints. The only thing is that she said there was not a single decent guy in Faith- one with a proper view of girls. Again, I would say most, but not all.

Of course, I think part of the problem is that girls actually think like this. It causes a problem when the 1% of decent guys aren't given a chance. I'm not saying that I'm one of the decent, but honestly, I don't look at how cute a girl is. Seriously, the girls I like are because of how they serve others and are virtuous. So I have to be better than most guys, but yet when it comes to just being friends with a girl, instantly I'm being called a staker and a freak.

So the problem is 50/50. Yes, guys are a little shallow, but I believe girls can be just as shallow.

Of course, I'm saying this without any research. So, let's turn this into a debate. Are all guys just plain shallow or are girls just as shallow too? I feel this is an important issue because I want to definitely fix myself if I am one of the shallow.

Just plainly, what do you think?

Ay, Ay, Ay

This day has really been up and down.

Friday night, we barely beat Community 3-2. So that was a positive, and I got to see the Faith crew at Culvers- COOL!!!

Unfortunately, I missed celebrating Jhurl's birthday. At least he was able to get my gifts back in summer.

This morning was pretty cool. I had a 545 which is my highest series in a long time. My games were a 154, 212, and a 179. So maybe this tank still has a little bit of gas left in it. Who knows, maybe 11 years of work will finally pay off. Also, I saw one of our new rookies - Jennifer Costa. SWEET!!! I know she was to have amazing skill due to being a Costa. It isn't Team Andy, but it is close.

The Minus- Hammond game. WE SHOULD HAVE WON!!! That is all I'm going to say. Plus, Mike, get some riddlin pills.

Fortunately, due to having so many tests on Friday, I have just a little homework- Calculus and A SPANISH 4 TEST. AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems like I'm in the ocean - being tossed up and down. I just have to learn how to surf better.

I don't have enough to make a complete one issue posting. Some I'm taking collections of a couple to make one whole one.

First, it just seems like most of my friends now have girlfriends. I remember back in 8th grade when they said they would never get a girlfriend. Look now, times must have changed. Just, where's mine?

That brings me to my next point. Every person has their weakness, their kryptonite. I definitely know mine. I can stand toe to toe with the toughest guy in the world for I know if I go down, the Lord will pick me back up, but when it comes to a girl, umm, HELP ME!!! Of course, this excludes the cool ones like Tirzah and Jenni, but if you see me talking to a girl. Trust me, I'm quacking in my knees. It is all about intimidation.

Wow, this article flows great. My final point is my affliation with Mother Russia. Everyone thinks I am a communist dictator. Quite the opposite. Yes, I know alot about it, but only because you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. I love Great White Sharks. They are amazing and gifted especially when they fly out of the water. I try to watch as much about them, but they doesn't mean I'm going to jump in the water and swim with them. Yes, the idea of complete control is what is cool about Russia, but trust me, I'm the farthest thing from a friend to the Motherland. A gunslinger looks very scary from the outside, but their calling is the protect the innocent.

So to wrap this, let's summarize.
1. My friends have a second half.
2. Girls intimidate me.
3. Russia is cool, but I'm not Russian.

So, my readers, continue to serve the Lord. We must always remember what Christ did for us.

Gunslinger

Roland of Gilead is such an amazing person. I just wish he was real. Even though he isn't real, I still look to him at times.

A saying I created for him is "Highal Gunslinger, may your steps be true and your ways be just." Which is what he tried to do everyday, but just never said it in that exact words.

The bad part is that he is always single except for when he was 16. The only problem is that his girlfriend was later burned at the stake by his enemies. So for over thousands of years, he made his journey to the Dark Tower to fix its beams and say the nexius.

I know my Dark Tower path- I must somehow accomplish the task of getting a ph d in pharmacy and become a researcher. Once there, I will tackle a major disease like cancer, and I won't go down without a bang.

I just wish I didn't have to go through the same pain of having bad experiences with girls. Man, my high school career has been riddled with them. At least all my friends have had great relationships.

I know this is probably a little depressing. So take hope that God has a person out there for all of us. Some are just fortunate than others in being able to click with most others.

Dream On

I love the song "Dream On" by Aerosmith. Several times through different trials, I've heard it and it perfectly described what was going on. I think I found the next example for it.

This past Thursday and Friday was the Hammond Soccer Tourny, and boy was it a battle. Our first game was Thursday night in which we faced a team called State Line. We had never seen them before because they are from Michigan. When the game started, we knew we were the better team, but we could just not get a goal. As Mike Semmel yelled at me, "We Need Bumpers, Andy!" Part of the problem was that our referee was not the best in the world. As Coach Rush said, "In 25 years of soccer, he is the worst ref I have ever seen." It was 0-0 at halftime and we knew we need to get a goal soon. Luckily, the ref finally favored in our side. He called a penalty kick which shouldn't have, but you get the gist. That was when Joel Haynie put it through. At that point, we were on fire. We finished the game by winning it 3-1.

Our next match was at 1 p.m. on Friday. We faced Ridgewood who in the past was a very hard team to beat. At the very beginning of the game, it looked bad because they scored within the first 5 min, but I think that inspired us instead of getting us down. At halftime, the score was 6 to 1. Yeah, we were rocking. We finished the game 9-2 and we ready to face Hammond in the final.

After a very long afternoon, we finally got out chance to face Hammond. Unfortunately, everything was against us. We just could not come out due to the fact of playing earlier. Also, the refs were bad again. I'm really not trying to give an excuse. Seriously, Mr. Johns was yelling at the refs. We lost the final 3-1.

This is where "Dream On" comes in. There is a line in the song where is says "I know no nobody knows where it comes and where it goes." I mean we destroyed Ridgewood and seemed invincible, but somehow, our fire was gone. Another line is "Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take it away." And obviously, there is a reason we lost. Something in God's plan for us that we don't know right now.

But that is why we should "Dream On" Something good is going to come out of this lose. We probably have no idea what it is but you know it is definitely the best thing that could happen to our lives.

So hopefully, the soccer team will be able to pick ourselves up. We face Hammond this next Saturday and I can't wait because it will be on our turf.

So, to my readers, remember that everything is meant to be the best for you. It seems horrible, but God has a reason for it. So pick yourself up and continue to fight the good fight.

Institutionalize

There are very few shows that I make sure to watch, but usually I always try to watch the show 30 days by Morgan Spurlock. You might know him from the movie Super Size Me in which he eat nothing but McDonald's for 30 days. I really like his show because he really does test things in reality. Last night's episode which was a rerun was about our Jail system. Morgan ended up spending 30 days in jail. The movie remind me ALOT of the Shawshank Redemption. This guys get so used to jail because you just sleep and eat that they can't handle the outside world. Pretty sad, but I think it is a major problem instead of something written by Stephen King.

I think maybe we high school students have this problem. College is quite different. In high school, teaching is Teacher supportive while College is Student Supportive. Basically, the teachers about you in high school, but definitely not in college. From what I noticed from a few freshmen this year, I think that have the syndrome. They hae gotten too use to high school that it is really hard for them adjust. I hope they keep going because eventually they will change.

Another thing I what to warn about is maybe us Christians become too institutionalized. We become to use to our church, our friends, and our school that when a real challenge arises, we too quickly just give up and run away. I know I personally tried to do that this summer. I was doing everything to convince my parents to let me move to TN with my aunt and uncle. I felt uncomfortable around my friends, my school, and even in my home. Luckily, when I didn't get the chance to move, I turned to God. In the summer, I had a lot of time to think about things and I know I did alot of praying and devotions because of the amount of free time.

I just want to warn you all because on the show last night, an inmat of Morgan who had been just released after serving most of his life in jail, was arrested 2 weeks later. Yeah, 2 WEEKS. So, my brethen, watch out for becoming too repetitive. We need to live for God instead of just going through the motions.

Help Me

Help..... Me.....
I think... I've.... lost.... my mind.

Alright, I'm just recovering from yesterday.

Yesterday was my brother's bday party in which 18 7th grade boys invade my home. Everywhere, on the walls, on the ceiling, on the roof. I just kept going, but more and more and MORE!!!!

It did have its fun moments. I took advantage of Timothy Haynie. His eyes were swollen and red from the chlorine. So my mom was putting eye drops in his eyes when I said, "It's ok Timothy, we'll find you another girlfriend." Perfect timing and he did laugh.

Also, we played Super Smash Brothers and I actually was a challenge for the gamecubers. SWEET!!! I feel so proud now. I, the senior, was able to beat some 7th grade guys. WOO HOO!!!

Unfortunately, the weekend is drawing to an end. Oh well, time must go on.

Mash

I LOVE MASH!!!

Mash is one of my all time favorite shows. No matter what happens, the gang can make me laugh. Just too bad the show is way off the air. Just a generation too late.

I feel sad because for the first time I saw the finally episode. No more Marget, Klinger, Col. Potter, BJ, Radar, Charles, Frank and most of all, no more Hawkeye. One thing that they were sad about was the fact that they probably would never see each other again especially with BJ y Hawkeye. Since the two of them lived on opposite coasts, it was highly unlike they ever see each other again.

You know, we seniors are in a similar situation since in a year we will probably be going out separate paths. I know I'm taking the VERY TOUGH road of getting a Ph. D in Pharmacy. I'll probably be stuck in a lab for years upon years. Jhurl, for instance, will be probably be producing the latest Christian Rap CD for guys like KJ-52.

I'm writing this to give comfort instead of getting everyone depressed. It hit me when I was watching Mash that yes, we may never see each other again, but are we not brothers and sisters in Christ. This life is only a blink of an eye and then we all will be together in Heaven.

Yes, I know it will have to be REALLY crowded, but think of this. We will live for all eternity with Christ and sometime we will have to see each other. The odds are greater than the Bears winning the Super Bowl this year. (Oh yeah, Baby, all the way this year!!!)

So take comfort in this. We don't have to be like the Mash gang and be all in tears for eventually, we will be together again.

The Beginning of the End

I love the quote "How are you suppose to know you are living if you don't feel any pain?"

Unfortunately, I feel like I'm going through that with my senior year. My class are so boring and hard- well, I don't know exactly what I'm doing. So it seems hard to me.

Besides some other stuff, a more impassible problem has come up- the bowling team.
Last year was an excellent year. We went from 0-8 to 4-4 and we were a year away from challenging the super powers (Jeff, Harrison, McCutcheon).

Unfortunately, as we were growing in talent, our guys we losing heart.
We lost Tiffany to graduation. Too bad she wasn't a freshmen. She truly had a heart for it.
Next, Mari has decided to not come back do to the school paper. Understandable.
At least we still have Cassie returning, but our guys team is another story.

My dad and I kinda knew even last season that we would lose Daniel N. to wrestling. So, we expected it.
Also, with Brandon switching to Brandon, we lost another bowler.
The real blow happened when Robbie Summer had to switch schools. We don't know when he is coming, if he is coming back. So, basically, we assume that we have lost him.
The clincher happened when the Moore Brothers said they probably weren't coming back. They have real talent for the game, but that means they have talent for other sports like Basketball.

So, out of 11 bowlers, we are losing 7, and I don't feel any new recruits anytime soon. Man, this is not good.

So, to my readers, help me find bowlers!!! I will have to say if we only have the 4 remaining players, we will probably just get rid of the team.

The Beginning and The End

Ah, I tried to ignore the truth, but it came back to bite me in the end.

Each of my years at Faith have been very unique. About the only friends that have been with me are my right and left hand men- Jhurl and Brandon. Unfortunately, I have even lost my left hand man for the school hours. Oh well, Roland did have to go it alone for years upon years.

I did try to rekindle a friendship from this past year, but I have changed too much. Oh, I wish I could be friends, but my path is so precious. I nearly had it destroyed this summer and I realized how precious it was. So, because of it, I have to say goodbye.

Luckily, though, new friends will come along. Anyways, my true mission is to Serve God daily through loving my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. So, whether I have friends or not, I will keep going. Is it not true that my friends will not be there next to me when I am face to face with God at His Throne? So, as long as I hear "Well done, my good and faithful servant" It will be worth it.

Moonlight Sonata

I have finally found the name of the song I've been searching for for years. Part of the problem was I thought it was Russian. Of course, I had no idea it was by the Great Beethoven.

The song is called Moonlight Sonata. Most of you probably would have heard it already. I thought it was Russian because it appeared on K19. I wish I could somehow get it on my blog, but I've been outwitted again.

Why do I love this song? Good question, but the song touches a range of emotions. At first, it sounds very depressing. But the notes keep going and going. There is no long sustained notes in most of the song. I just keep getting this feeling of "Keep going, Keep going, Keep going."

Which is what I want to say to all of you. I know this week has been tough or at least it has for me. Just remember that the Lord is always with us at all times. Just call upon Him for help at any time when it goes seem too impossible.

I feel tired and worn out, but very confident. In past years, I would worry the whole year about friends and girls, but the great thing is I no longer do worry about that. I'm tired because I've been really BUSY, but I guess I feel better because my Spiritual life is better than in years past. I just keep remembering 1 John 3:18 "Do not merely love your brother through words, but through deeds and truth." and that is why I keep fighting the good fight.

So, to my readers, keep going. Life is tough at times, but with God, we can keep going.

I strive everyday to uphold the changes I made this summer, but honestly, it was so much easier being the dictator.

Right now, I feel a great burden for certain people in our class.

First, I am so glad that my cousin is fitting in nicely into Faith. I hope he can come back from his recent mistakes.

Second, JP, STOP trying to do a dive or a flip. I swear there were a couple of times in which I nearly had to get up and jump in. You were definitely pushing the limit.

Third, MARIPOSA HERMOSA, PLEASE LISTEN. You are closer to danger than a person on their deathbed. Harsh, but maybe you will take me serious. JC IS DANGEROUS, 1 as a Christian, and two, as a driver. I am telling you that every red flag in my body and one of my friends were flying high. I heard some very nasty things out of his mouth and even tonight he pulled a dangerous stunt that nearly wreck my car. I swear, if I had not been watching him, my car would be in pieces. STAY AWAY!!!! He is a Cobra and he will ruin or even kill you. Oh, I just wish you could heed my words.

My mind is so much clearer these days. I John 2:9 "Until you love your brother, you will be in eternal darkness" (paraphased). I praise God everyday that my mind is clear, but the trials have gotten much harder.

I just wish there was someway to serve these three cases. I just fear that nobody will listen to me. I just promise I will always watch out for an opportunity to serve the ones around me.

And everyday I strive for that.

Probably many of you have noticed that I have adopted the name of the Last Class Rep and I think I am ready to finally unveil myself as it.

I'm going to point back to the movie and mix it in with my past experiences to help you recognize what I am saying.

In the beginning of my years at Faith I will describe myself as Captain Nathan Algren when he was still fighting the indians. As he went more and more through the stupid mistakes of guys like Custer, he becomes more and mroe anger and disgusted with his surroundings and himself. I too was on the battlefield at Tecumseh. Trust me, it is evil. My time at Tecumseh reminds me of the Strongman's liar from This Present Darkness.

By the time I reached the end of my sophomore year, I was just like Nathan doing the gun shows. Disgusted with everyone around me. Tired of everything because of the past mistakes. But my Junior year I thought could be a second chance like when Captain Algren goes over to Japan to train their forces. The only problem with both of us was that our personal demons were still with us. But we came out fighting like a tiger which step up our true changing.

Captain Algren learns the just ways of the Samurai, recognizes what is truly important in the world around him (except for Christ of course), and is finally able to forgive himself for the atrocities he had committed. Unfortunately, what he finally realizes dies out in his mentors and goes on in life with a changed heart. He becomes the Last Samurai.

I got a second chance with Faith with my counseling. Thank goodness I had that opportunity because now I realize what is truly important. Who cares when certain mistakes are made with superficial stuff, who cares if I don't have a girl friend, just plainly, who cares if I am not being noticed. I, we, just need to go through our lives realizing we need to always be serving and praising God- Eph 5:20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.

I am calling myself the Last Class Rep because I will never be Class Rep again, but I took in my heart the lesson of the best Class Rep - 1 John 3:18 (paraphased) Do not love your brother merely with words, but through deed and truth. So I promise to go through this senior year looking to serve the ones around me. I wish I would have been a much better class rep, but at least the future is looking brighter and brighter each day.

Senior Life

Who ever said that the Senior year was a piece of cake. I would like to know and show them my schedule. I'm definitely not complaining though because I have something to do.

Here's my schedule for my last week before my senior year.
Tomorrow, Sunday is the Brickyard. SWEET!!! (I just hope Gordon doesn't win again)
Monday, I have a Work Orientation.
Tuesday is the Senior/Freshy mixer -cool.
Wednesday, I have some more Tech Crew Training with Mr. Payne.
Thursday is the Alumni Game (Vball y Futbol) and I need to find people to work the concessions.
Friday is actually my free day. I hope to get a much needed hair cut.
Saturday is the Vball, Futbol Jamboree and I also need to find workers for that. Plus that night I have a bowling party at my house.
Sunday, I have to say goodbye to my summer and go back to School. NOOOOO!!!!!!!

For the icing on the cake, I have futbol (soccer) practice everyday this week from 3-6 except Wednesday ends at 5. So, I guess I never can get a year to coast. Oh well, It is probably good for me.

So, if you find that person who invented the saying, send him to my house, and I'll have a talk with him.

My Secret Plan

So, guess what, my great big top secret plan that would quake the world was Jenni's bday dinner with Jhurl. Jhurl and I planned this thing for a few weeks. We went all out, but remember, Guys are really, really, really simple. So, in the end, we thought it was great, but of course, I'm a little bias.

Somehow, I've overloaded my plate again. Right now, I'm the soccer manager which is AWESOME! Never thought I would say that, but God can change people. I also was able to become a volunteer for the pharmacy at Home Hospital. So I'll work Monday nights, and that should be interesting. Also, on Wednesdays, I'm being trained on all the new tech crew gadgets. So, since we are with Mr. Payne (YAHOO), it has been fun. And of course, school starts in a week. (Tear, Tear, Tear) which means my scheduler duties will begin. So, I'm no longer Class Rep, but I'm just as busy.

Please be praying for me because school will be my true test to see whether or not this whole summer has been worth something. Also, there are a few preparations that I hope can flow smoothly and accomplish. Most of all, somehow, I've injuried my ankle. I literally can't hardly walk around my house without my football ankle brace which is not good because it will help it heal, but I can also become addicted to it and have permanent damage. YUCK!!!

Oh well. If we didn't have a few trials, how would we ever know God is there for us at all times.

The Rock

****This is the first article I wrote after making my new blog. It is probably my best. So I feel it is time to republish it.****

The Rock is one of my favorite movies of all time. It has three great actors with Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage, and Ed Harris. The movie is about an Military legend (Ed Harris) who has seen countless soldiers die under his command, but because it was covert, top secret missions, his soldiers never receive any compensation. As he says, "These men didn't even get a **** Military Burial." He has tried for years to convince the government to recognize the soldiers, but they never do. So he and his closest men storm a military base and steal biological weapons. With the weapons, they take over Alcatraz and threaten to destroy San Francisco unless the U.S. takes money from its illegal arms sales and recompensates his soldiers.

Nicolas Cage is the FBI's best chemical agent, and Sean Connery is a top secret British agent who was locked up for life because of the top secret information he captured. The two of them are able to take down the rogue marines and save the world. You really have to check out the movie because Ed Harris actually turns back to the good side, but his men kill him for it.

In the end, Ed Harris's objective was honorable. Truly, his men were forgotten when they died for their country, but when Harris's lust for recompensation is not satisfied, that is when he sins and starts the quarrel. I bring this up because it is a great example and one thing I learned in my counseling session today. Everything I said completely agrees with the Bible.

James 4:1,2 "What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. "

I wrote this example about the Rock because I recognize that I was doing the same thing. My time at Faith, I have always been one of the minority views. I love Da Bears, Bowling, etc. I just don't agree with some of the basketball stuff, but that doesn't mean I should turn it into my enemy. Maybe there is a problem with some of the Faith stuff, but that doesn't give me the right to start spouting off and waging war. This is where I have majorly sinned over my 4 years at Faith. So, to everyone who is reading this blog and is from Faith, I sincerely apologize for my actions and words I have said. Truly, I have sinned against most of you. As in the words of the Great Gunslinger, Roland of Gilead, "I cry your pardon." (From the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King)

I think in this few weeks from school I have greatly grown. Man, it is unbelievable the stuff I have learned about Leadership and Authority. So just continue praying and maybe recognize yourself a few areas that you have fallen just as I have.

I just finished watching a cool movie. It stars Al Pacino and Robin Williams. Al is a hero cop who all of a sudden is being investigating about all of his arrests. He is then sent off into Alaska to investigate a murder. Well, you find out that Robin Williams is a future serial killer who just made his first kill. Unfortunately, Robin saw Al accidently shoot his partner and tries to blackmail Al into framing another person. It turns into a great mind thriller as Robin and Al try to out think each other.

The thing is Al ends settling with just framing the innocent guy to make sure all the villains he has captured won't be released. Basically, he turns his back on what he once was just to save his reputation. Well, ends up, right before he leaves, he realizes what he has done and captures Robin with some hidden evidence.

I think this a great reminder of what I did with my four years at Faith. I plan to make this fifth year much different by walking the line with truth instead of anger and lies. I took my first step today with becoming the manager for the soccer team. It was hot, but it'll be fun.

So, continue prayers as always. My second to last session is this wednesday. So that should be great except this sessions are AMAZING!!! Truly, I suggest it. No matter how perfect you are, these people can help you grow even more.

Memorize this for I have- Every authority is part of God's will. Remember that when you get back to school.

I also went to Purdue today and had a advising session with a Pharmacy counselor. I found out that it looks like Purdue will actually accept some of Lee's credits, but I also found out that I could really get ahead if I stay at Purdue. Yeah, that is important because I have at least 8 years of study ahead of me.

So, again the decision between Lee and Purdue grows ever stronger- BLAH!!!

I also have a job interview on Friday. I can wait, I get $0.00 dollars an hour, I'm required to have a blood test, and my mom will be in the same building. Ok, I'm going to be a volunteer for the pharmacy department at Home Hospital. I get to deliever medicines to the nurses. You might ask why I would do it? Well, it is because Purdue Pharmacy School LOVES LOVES LOVES volunteer work.

Oh yeah, that was one thing about Purdue Pharmacy School - 1,000 applications each year for only 160 spots- Now, that is competition. (Bring it ON!!!)

So, hopefully, I'm not forgetting anything else.

I'm Back

I love the classic saying that you need to just get back up on the horse.

Ok, it was a very hard fall for me when I was no longer class rep. Yes, to most, it wouldn't be much, but to me it was important.

Well, I'm starting to come back. I'm the scheduler for all the senior things. Just one step at a time.

I wish I could say that for my bowling career, but it is summer. I have a few weeks turn it around (somehow).

Not only am I back in the school leadership, but I'm planning something top secret that will be INCREDIBLE!!!! Of course, it is all for good. Yeah, I know, weird, but no, you have not crossed over into the Twilight Zone. ( I bought a T. Zone shirt today. I just had to say it!!!)

So, everyone, enjoy summer or what is left of it, and always, pray, pray, pray.

Worldly Things

I dedicate this blog to a few of my fellow bloggers and close friends.

I have been reading in the past and on some current blogs about the desires of being fashionable. (ok, you guessed it, I've been reading a few girls blogs) I think there is nothing wrong with wanting to be fashionable, but I do want to warn you of a few things I thought I was detecting in the articles.

1 John 2:15-17
15Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
17The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

It felt like to me that a few of you were willing to trade away anything to look great. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but this advice can't hurt.

I know what it is like. I would give anything in the world to be skinny, normal size. It is hard when I'm around friends because they are normal, but I'm not. But I just wanted to tell you all that in the end, will it really matter? When we get to Heaven, we all will be the same. So don't spend every minute of every day wishing you had a wonderful body. As the verses say, the things of the world will pass away.

Now, of course, don't go to the other extreme and not take care of your body. Our bodies are a temple of God and we should take care of it, but just don't lust after being like supermodel thin or etc, etc. As much as it is hard to say, those things are worldly.

I hope this helps a few of you. Don't think I'm trying to pick on a certain few. I have problems with the exact same thing, but just try to think about what the verses say and what the Lord is doing in your daily life.

Counseling Update

Today, I had my fourth counseling session with Pastor Woodall y my parents, and I just had to share some of it.

The movie example- I saw the Spiderman 3 trailor (which is wicked awesome- www.videodetectives.com) I like it because his enemy is venom which for all you non spiderman people is basically himself. An enemy goo takes over spiderman and he has to fight his inner conflicts. I found this interesting because this summer I've been cleaning out the inner closests.

My problem is a view life as a constant war. It is time to draw the line and face off. Unfortunately, I turn way too many people into my enemies. Ok, everyone once in a while, maybe the other person did make a mistake, but basically, my anger got the better of me.

In case this happens to you, I just want to share a few verses before you start to take revenge.

1 Peter 2:21-25
21For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,
22WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;
23and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
24and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Application- Always remember that while Christ was on earth, He NEVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER, etc, etc. took revenge against those who sinned against him. So, first, don't do it.
Second, Christ did this so that we could have a second chance. So, don't condemn a person for when they slip up and fall into sin. Basically, look at the person, not the sin. Always remember that God forgave us, so forgive others.

Again, continue praying for me because I've learned alot, but now it is time to really prove whether or not I am going to ever change.

TN Happenings

Well, I found the girl for me. Unfortunately, she is three and my cousin.

The past couple of days I was in Cleveland, TN. I visited some family members and Lee University. First, my family.

The above picture is my cousin Grace, the youngest of 5 children. Quite interesting when I came in the door, set down my luggage, and she instantly grabbed my hand. The whole time there is was holdding my hand or pointing at me and laughing or just plainly calling my yuck, eww, y evil. Ah, finally, a girl who wasn't scared, but just laughed.

Lee University was AWESOME!!! I really wish I could go there because one, I would instantly have a scholarship and two, it was really beautiful. Unfortunately, they only have pre-pharmacy. Since Purdue's pharmacy school is really snobbish, it could be a problem.

I'm back for a while now. Probably the rest of the summer.

The Eye of the Hurricane is over myself, but I can feel the storm brewing.

Sweet Home Chicago

Well, folks, I'm back. My family just did a week trip and it was actually quiet interesting.

After two days of traveling, we reached Freedmen, South Dakota which is mostly farm land. I stayed with my dad's cousin and her husband. So, if you can explain what she is to me, I'll pay you a million dollars. That night was quite interesting especially when I slept with 6 women. (of course, they were about 6 inches tall, but still intimidating). The next day we headed for the Wisconsin Dells and that was complicated.

We were very disappointed with it because it was completely commerical. We ended up changing everyone of our plans the next day and headed out to the countryside. We visited a Winery which was really cool. I tried alcohol free champagne and I just had to bring a bottle back with me. That brings up an important issue my family had. Is it ok to drink wine? I say yes as long as you don't do it to get drunk, but my dad said just to stay away period. So, if you have any advice, post something. Eventually, after spending time in the Dells, we headed to CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, my true HOMELAND!!!!!!!!

We got into Chi Town (for Jhurl) around lunch and we head to one of the best restaurants ever. It was Iron Mikes aka Mike Ditka's. Incrediable Football gear. I had the "Fridge" Burger which would make a butterburger wet its pants. That Good!!!!

Then we went to our hotel which was right on the Lake. So, while my parents y brother was swimming. I was "sitting on the dock of the bay" Ok, maybe no the dock, but it was still a beautiful sight. For all Bears fans out there, we stayed on the 32 floor (Cedric Benson) and the hotel had a total of 34 floors (Walter Payton). Later that night, we went walking through the city and I really liked it. Of course, I think it was my urlacher jersey, but I felt like I really fit in.

The next day, I went to SOLDIER FIELD!!!!! Step 1 of 3 in dieing a happy bears fan. Truly Amazing. Enough Said.

Then we went to the Alder Planetarium which was ok. They showed a pretty sweet show about different formations, but I was angry with a few exhibits- Physics crap and evolution crap.

I'm said to say we had to leave Chicago then and come back home, but I will be back someday.

A few things though, on Monday or Tuesday I'm heading to TN for a week. Visit Family y Lee. I wish I could see Pirates, but it will be in the middle of nowhere.

Watch carefully with this North Korea situation. Could be very history defining in the future.

Der Jeff, finally glad to have you say something. Yeah, I always liked Marth better than Roy, but the thing is I only know them from Super Smash Brothers. So, I could be a little off on the true Marth y Roy.

So, please continue praying for my family y yo. I felt like I was finally able to have a peaceful summer, but I still have to go through the rest of the Hurricane.

Summer Blues

Ok, except for the homework, I actually miss school. I'm extremely bored, but luckily I have DDR. Yes, I know, I don't have a job, but due to certain circumstances, a job was out of my mind.

So, probably many of you are in the same boat of having a lot of extra time with nothing to do. So I just wanted to give a few reminders on some ways to go in the Lord. (I didn't have my counseling session today. I just have to discuss Biblical principles)

First, MOST OF ALL, you can spend that extra time in Devotions and prayer. I will have to admit that in my past I would at the most only have devotions for 30 min, but this summer, I've had several hour long times with God and it has really helped. Think of it this way. Out of 24 hours, you give your Creator y Savior only a few minutes. I think if we think of it that way we can easily find gaps in our day for extra Bible reading.

Second, anaylze yourself. At the beginning of the summer, I was given the opportunity to look at myself and see what exactly I want to change. Immediately popped up my weight (my born scar) and my lack of acting like a Christian. Instantly, I went on the offensive thanks to DDR y Pastor Woodall. I have to report that I have lost three pounds (trust me, that means it is time to Praise God). The other problem only you my readers will be able to judge. Of course, remember, I only have just begun. I know I'm no where near the finish line yet.

Third, talk to another person about what God is teaching you and what God is teaching them. My parents and I have been more open about what is happening and we can really see God's Hand working through our daily lives. Yeah, even being stuck at home, we have seen It.

Fourth, read a good Christian book. I'm starting to run out of things, but hey, it can never hurt. Currently, I'm reading House by Ted Dekker y Frank Peretti. It is SWEET!!! I don't recommend it to those who don't like horror type books. Trust me, it is completely clean, but it is giving me goosebumps like some of King's works. I'm also reading the Da Vinci Code just to see what exactly our enemies are saying about us. I don't know though, it is hard because this guy is a really really BAD writer. Besides the false stuff about Christ, he is just plainly horrible.

I hope I have given you my few readers some things to do. If you need something else to do, just talk to me and I can put my mind to it.

Again, please keep praying for me and my family. We still have a long road ahead of us.
